6 ways to great hair | Tips

Having great hair is a feel good factor for most people so following  these tips will help to ensure you can feel good all the time!

1. Wash your hair correctly |
If you can, it's best not to wash your hair everyday because it strips your hair of its natural oils.
Start by massaging your shampoo into the scalp, working into a lather then rinsing. If needed, repeat this process again.
After, it's time to condition, for best results only apply conditioner to the mid lengths and ends of the hair as applying to the roots can cause your hair to become greaser, quicker.

2. Never brush wet hair |
Wet hair stretches and using a brush means it is more likely to snap. To help avoid this using a comb is recommended to remove the knots or invest in a Tangle Teezer £10.99.

3. Give your hair a treatment |
To keep your hair in tip-top condition, a hair mask is a great way to add back lost moisture! For best results apply one once a week.

4. Use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair |
This is important because different shampoos and conditioners will do different things for hair. If your hair is dry, opt for something moisturising, if oily something citrus based to dry out the oils or if coloured go for colour protecting products! Don't just assume one thing suits all.

5. Use styling tools in moderation |
It's fine to use heated styling tools on your hair but giving your hair a rest a few days a week will do it some good! When you do use styling tools make sure that when you use a heat protector!

6. Have regular trims |
Many people think that not having their haircut every 6-8 weeks will mean it will grow longer and quicker. Yes, they are right in some ways but not having your haircut regularly will mean more split ends and breakages which when eventually having your haircut, will mean all the breakage will need cutting off!
