Soap & Glory Products | Review

Soap and glory
Today I have two Soap & Glory products to review, one is 'Love At First Blush' and the other is 'One Heck Of A Blot'!
Soap and glory
The first product I am going to review is 'One Heck Of A Blot'* £12 which is a Mattifying Translucent powder.
The powder comes in one colour but suits all skin tones and is super fine, meaning it has a Traceless feel on the skin unlike some other face powders.
This product is great for using on the T-Zone but can also be used on the whole face either with the sponge provided or a big fluffy powder brush.
It's slightly pricier to other powders on the high street but this is the best powder I have used in terms of how fine the powder is and how well it keeps oily/shiny skin at bay!

Soap and glory

Lastly I have 'Love At First Blush'* £11 which is a Multi Shade Blushing Powder.
The powder contains 5 different shades which can be used together or individually to create a really natural glow, even though the colours do have a shimmer they don't leave the face looking shiny.
This product is perfect during summer and can also even be used as an eyeshadow!
The packaging of both of the products are lovely, I would definately recommend both of these products.

They can both be found on Soap & Glory website here... http://www.soapandglory.com

Summer Beauty Essentials | Collab

Today I have a collaboration post of my Summer Beauty Essentials with Julie from www.cuteiinstgram.blogspot.co.uk whose blog you should take a look at by the way!
During the summer season, there are some beauty essentials I cannot live without so today I'm going to share them with you!

  • My first Summer Beauty Essential is fake tan!

During summer there is nothing I like more than having a tan, so I make sure I always have a bottle to hand! One in particular that I like using is the 'Sunkissed 60 Minute Rapid tan' as it provides a natural colour, fast and lasts for up to 7 days.

  • Another beauty essential is Foot Cream!

With feet needing to look their best during summer, I find foot care particularly important. A product I tend to use to keep my feet in tip top condition, is 'Heel Genius' by Soap & Glory. I find it really refreshing and my feet feel soft even after one use.

  • Another beauty essential is Nail Varnish!
Another thing I cannot live wirhout, for me having my nails painted in a nice bright summery colour is essential during summer! It's the time of the year when I favour pinks, oranges and all the colours that remind you of the sunny weather.

  • Another beauty essential is body scrub!
Following on from fake tan being one of my summer beauty essentials, having soft, prepared skin ready for tan is highly important for me!  Without skin being fully prepared for fake tan, it can cling on dry areas like elbows and knees so using a body scrub before can help achieve a more flawless tan!

  • Finally my last beauty essential is BB Cream
During summer when the weather is warm, the last thing you want is a heavy face of makeup. Something I like to use during the summer is a BB cream, I find this great to use because it gives me even, fresh looking skin without the heavy feel of a full face of foundation!

These are my Summer Beauty Essentials, are they the same as your or do you have other essentials? Let me know in the comments below!

Denman Thermo-neon curling brush | Review

With neon being one of the hottest trends for summer, Denman have taken this trend to the next level by creating the new 'Thermo-Neon Curling Brushes'.
They have brought out the range in four colours with each brush being colour coded by size...
Green Barrel: Extra Small (16mm)
Orange Barrel: Small (30mm)
Blue Barrel: Medium (38mm)
Pink Barrel: Large (48mm)
Meaning there is a brush for every hair length and they will look great on your dressing table!

Denman say...

  • 'Ceramic barrel for faster, smoother styling'.
  • 'Flexible bristles for excellent grip and control'.
  • 'Ideal for straightening hair or adding curl'.
I have been using the Large pink Barrel Brush* £12.85 (Featured above) for the past few weeks and I have found that it's great for adding volume to roots and adding a slight curl to the ends of my hair. I personally prefer to rough dry my hair until it's around 70%  dry, before using the brush to finish off the style which helps save time! Also i find that this brush does have great grip even when it comes to fine hair because I can struggle with brushes holding my hair but I have absolutely no problem with this brush!

The brushes range from £8.60- £12.85 and can all be found online Here!

SlenderShake Meal Replacement Shake | Review

A few weeks ago I took part in the #BHTWITTERPARTY and was kindly gifted a SlenderShake 'Meal replacement pack'* £21.99.
SlenderShake is a meal replacement shake, recommended to replace either breakfast or lunch with. It's really easy to make, simply by putting a scoop of the powder into a cup then adding 100-150ml of water then stirring/shaking before serving.

Using water to make the shake is recommended but can also be make using low fat yoghurt, adding fruit or extra sweetener.

The benefits of SlenderShake are:
  • Assists weightless (When used alongside healthy eating)
  • Improves energy
  • Therapeutic to the skin
  • Helps digestion

I have tried the shake using water which personally I found too gloopy and sweet to drink however even though it isn't suggested I made the shake using milk which I found much easier to drink as it tasted more like a milkshake but was still sweet.

I will be testing the product fully over the next 14 days and will be letting you know my results after on this blogpost so come back then for the results!

2 Week update:
I was sent this product two weeks ago, to test by replacing either a breakfast or lunch with each day. Unfortunately after trying this product for the first time with water and finding it too sweet and thick then with milk which was still very sweet (however slightly better) I was unable to continue with the meal replacement shake. From the amount I did try though, I have to say that I wasn't kept feeling full for very long.

Personally I would recommend that healthy eating and regular excerise would be a safer and more effective way of losing or maintaining weight than using a meal replacement shake.
